This recipe is so easy and it turns out perfect EVERY time, plus it is really really good. If you don’t have Guinness then any dark beer will do, bottle or can is fine. The first time I made this I added cabbage but I didn’t care for the flavor of the cabbage, so now I make Baked Cabbage Rounds to go with it. They are super easy, healthy and good too.
- 1 Corned Beef Brisket (about 4 pounds)
- 1 bottle of Guinness or dark beer (stout or porter)
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- put corned beef into slow cooker, if it comes with a spice pack add it if you want
- add brown sugar and beer
- cover and cook on high for 7-8 hours
- or low for 9-10 hours
