Ingredients
- Cake:
- 2 cups flour
- ½ cup dutch or dark cocoa powder
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1½ teaspoons baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 bananas- mashed
- ½ cup oil
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup hot water- not boiling
- Frosting:
- ½ cup butter, soft
- 8 oz soft cream cheese at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 4-5 cups of powdered sugar (depending on how thin, thick your want it)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 pan.
- Add flour, cocoa, baking power, baking soda, and salt to bowl and mix. In another bowl cream bananas and sugars together, mix in eggs, oil, vanilla and sour cream. Slowly add in flour mixture, and then slowly add in the hot water. Mix in chocolate chips. Pour into greased pan.
- Bake for 35-40 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
- Once cool, mix all the frosting ingredients together and frost the cake.
