This is my new favorite frosting!!! I like it even better than a peanut butter cup. It has just the right amount of peanut butteriness!
This recipe will frost a 9×13 cake or 12 cupcakes.
If it comes out too thin, add a little more powdered sugar. If it’s too thick add a little more cream or milk until you get the consistency you like.
If you need a cupcake recipe to go with this, we used our Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe.
By the way, my daughter made the cute little chocolate pieces on top. She poured a little melted chocolate on some bubble wrap and cracked it into pieces when it set.
- ¾ cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup soft butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 4 tablespoons of heavy cream or 3 tablespoons of milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 2½- 3 cups powdered sugar
- In large bowl on medium speed, cream together peanut butter, butter and cream cheese for 1 minute. Mix in heavy cream and vanilla. Add the powdered sugar until you get the consistency that you want. A little less for this frosting and a little more for thicker frosting.
- Once you frost you cake/cupcakes, you should store in the refrigerator.
