The Best Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • -----------------------------------
  • powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan, set aside.
  2. Cream butter & sugars together, add in egg. Add baking powder, baking soda, half the flour & mix well. Mix in sour cream & vanilla. Add the remaining flour & mix well.
  3. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
  4. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Let cool in pan for 15 min. then transfer to cooling rack or plate, slice when completely cooled.
