Country White Bread Recipe for Bread Machine

Ingredients
  • 1 package of quick rise yeast
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ⅛ cup of oil
  • 3½ cups of bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
Instructions
  1. Put ingredients in bread machine in the order they are listed. Yeast, warm water, sugar, oil, flour, salt and egg. Set to dough cycle. Check bread after it's mixed for a few mins. it should be a nice round ball of dough. If it's too wet/dry keep adding teaspoons of flour/water to get the right consistency.
  2. When the cycle is done grease 2 bread pans, divide the dough in half, put dough in pans. Cover pans with towel or plastic wrap. Let sit until doubled (usually 30-60 mins).
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake bread for 20-25 mins. until tops are golden. Optional: You can take a teaspoon of cold butter and rub in on the tops of the hot loaves.
