Powdered Sugar Baked Donut Holes
Serves: 19-20
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil (I used soybean oil)
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • -For Coating-
  • 2 Tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease mini muffin pan with oil or cooking spray.
  2. Whisk together the sour cream, egg, vanilla, oil, butter, & sugar in a bowl.
  3. Add flour, soda, salt, & nutmeg (optional) & stir together until well combined.
  4. Fill mini muffin pan with batter about ⅔rds full & bake for 12-16 minutes or until the sides are turning golden brown. Remove from oven & let cool in pan for 5-10 minutes then transfer to cooling rack.
  5. For the Coating: Brush melted butter onto donut holes then either roll them around in a bowl of powdered sugar to coat or place in a ziploc bag and shake them to coat with powdered sugar.
