Little Pigs in a Blanket made from crescent roll dough and lil smokies sausages. Super easy and everyone loves them including the kids.
Use a knife or pizza cutter and cut the dough triangles into 3 or 4 pieces and wrap up the sausages. Put on ungreased cookie sheet, bake and serve.
You can serve with any dip that you like. It might not look pretty, but I take a little catsup and a little mustard and mix them together and dip them in it. I’ve eaten them like that since I was a kid :)

Made with the round crescent rolls & cut into thinner slices. Was a hit at church!
Hi Jo Ann, I’m so glad everyone liked them!
Have you ever prepped them at night and baked them the next morning?
Hi Megan. No I haven’t, but it should be fine. Just make sure they are covered in something airtight or plastic wrapped very well so the dough doesn’t dry out.
So one can of crescents for every sausage pack?
Hi Andrea. Yes, that worked for me. You cut each triangle into 3-4 pieces so you should get between 24-32 pieces of crescent roll.
if substituting with hot dogs, do I pre-cook the hot dogs?
No need to precook since hotdogs are fully cooked already. Good luck!
Made this for years and it’s definitely an easy, huge hit! One mod I make though is I add some minced garlic inside and brush the tops with melted butter. Mmmmm mm mmmmm!
Hi Bri, I love that idea! I will try it next time.
I’ve been making these exactly like this for years( I love ketchup, mustard, AND mayo all mixed together. Try it!!)! I also like to roll shredded sharp cheddar cheese into crescent rolls. Sooooo, I decided to do the lil’ smokies and add the cheddar! Ahhhhh-mazing!!?
Hi KT, Thanks for the tips! I’ll have to give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to comment, we appreciate it!
Can I freeze and then take o out and baKe as needed. Or baKe first freeze and warm?
Hi, I have never tried doing either, but I don’t see why both wouldn’t be good. If you try it, let me know how it goes.
I froze and baked. Came out great. Just froze 120 for the holidays. Some with American cheese stuffed and some with everything bagel seasoning on top.
I get the cheddar smokies!!
