This is my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe. They are soft and chewy and turn out perfect every time I make them.
A little tip: Sometimes I like to make extra large cookie, so I use about 2 tablespoons of dough instead of 1 and cook for an extra 2-4 mins.
You want the cookies to just start to brown on the edge and then pull them out and they will give you a nice soft cookie with a slightly browned bottom.
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 cups all flour
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 cups chocolate chips (add more of less to your liking)
- Preheat oven to 350
- In large bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, add vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water, then add to batter, add salt, slowly stir in flour. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by the tablespoon onto cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 mins. Just until the edges start to get golden.
