This cake is the best!!!!!! It’s my new favorite. I made it for myself for my birthday this year. It is really quick and easy to make. Even the frosting is only 2 ingredients. The box of pudding makes it really moist and fudgy. It’s the thickness of a brownie, but that’s okay because it is very rich and you don’t need a lot to fill you up.

Ingredients
- Cake:
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 box chocolate fudge pudding 3.9 ounce (the regular size box)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup butter
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup chocolate chips (I used mini)
- Ganache:
- 9 ounces of chocolate chips
- 1 cup of heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 pan.
- In large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, soda, salt, and pudding. Using a mixer on medium speed, mix in eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
- In medium pan over medium high heat, heat butter, cocoa, and water until butter is melted and cocoa is dissolved. Slowly add this to the flour mixture in the large bowl. Mix on medium for 1 minute. Add in chocolate chips. Pour in 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 30-35 mins or until toothpick comes our clean.
- To make ganache, put chocolate chips in bowl. Boil the heavy cream, then pour over chocolate chips, mix until smooth. Pour over warm, not hot cake.
