Amish Cinnamon Baked Donuts
I took my recipe for Quick Amish Friendship Cinnamon Bread and turned them into baked donuts! They taste great for breakfast! You could even spread soft butter over the top like a muffin! I used my Wilton Donut Pans to make these.
I’m all about making different kinds of baked donuts. So once again for this recipe I put my Wilton donut pans to good use. If you still want to make this recipe but want to make them into muffins I have a recipe for that too: Amish Cinnamon Muffins.
To make these I started by using a regular spoon to spoon a little of the batter into the greased donut pans. I used the back of the spoon to smooth it down. Then I took some cinnamon & sugar mix and sprinkled it on top of the batter, then I put another layer of batter over that, sprinkled more cinnamon & sugar mix on top. For the last step I used a toothpick to swirl it around.
**To keep it simple you could just spoon the batter in, smooth it down, sprinkle the cinnamon & sugar on top & swirl it with a toothpick.
Yum! If you like Amish Friendship Bread I think you will like these Quick Amish Cinnamon Baked Donuts. Recipe made about 14 donuts.

- In a separate bowl mix ⅓ cup sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon together to create the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
- Using a small spoon, spoon the batter into the donut pan cavities, filling ¾ of the way full. Use the back of the spoon to smooth it down.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon & sugar mix over the top, use a toothpick to swirl it around.
- Bake at 350 F. degrees for 12-15 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes in pan then move to cooling rack.

I love Amish Friendship Bread! & in donut form? I’m sure these are heavenly! Hope you had a great Valentine’s Day :)
Hey. Love the amish bread and muffins. Can’t wait to try this. Could we use a mini donut maker for this and how long would we cook it for?
Hi Mineshree, Yes you could make these in an electric donut maker. I have never used one before but after googling donut makers it looks like 4-5 minutes might be the proper time frame or whatever the manual says. Thanks.
Is it plain or self rising flour
All purpose flour.
Could you bake these in a silicone pan?
Yes, you can bake them in a silicone donut pan as well.
