Double Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick)
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1¼ cups rolled quick oats
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips (maybe a ¼ cup more if your like me & love chocolate!)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets or line with nonstick baking mat/parchment paper.
  2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda & set aside.
  3. In a large bowl mix butter, brown sugar and white sugar together. Add in the egg and vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients (flour mixture). Mix in the oats and chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cookies will start to crackle on the top when they are done. Don't over cook them.
